History

1943 Starting a polish-process business for other factories as a home business in Kamitajima, Sanjo City
1945 Following the end of World War II, some households purchase a full set of smithing tools and starts manufacturing knives, sickles, and other cutlery. They start manufacturing cast fabric shears. Around this time, they start seriously manufacturing cutlery. The company is named “Ikarashi Hasami” factory.
1963 Around this time, manufacturing of hedge shears begins.
1965 Manufacturing of cast shears discontinued.
1958 The company moved to its current location with the construction of a small-to-medium business industrial park.
1974 Second factory constructed (forge plant)
Jul-1976 The company has been reorganized as a corporate body and renamed to Ikarashi Hamono Kogyo, co. ltd. (Kanenori).
Sep-1977 Manufacturing of hatchets begins
Dec-1980 Second factory extended.
Mar-1983 Office constructed.
Mar-1991 Manufacturing of wood pruning shears begins.
May-1995 Third factory constructed (building for finishing and welfare facilities)
Jun-1996 Magoroku Ikarashi becomes president.
Jan-2000 Trading business begins.
Apr-2001 The company received recognition from an employee advancement and skill development organization, and started three years of training to improve manufacturing cost counting database analysis skills.
Jan-2003 60th anniversary
2005 Three period long roofing work on each building starts.
Jan-2013 Product manufacturing using 3DCAD begins.
